Hello host families:
I am writing this letter because, I know how much difficult is to find somebody who look after your children. I want to provide to you a great experience and a safety that your children going to have an excellent year full of smiles and laughs.
I decide to be au pair because I think that I have the abilities necessaries to share my time with children and care properly of them. I am a funny, creative, responsible, leader, careful, tender and respectfully person, for this qualities, I consider that I could be a great au pair for you and give your children all attention necessary. Au Pair program allow to me to get more learning for my personal and professional life, I think that this program going to give me a great experience to affront different situations in my life, to be more mature and be more independent too. Participate in an Au Pair program going to be me to get a different point of view of my life because I will can travel and improve my English and maybe study some program relative with my career while I share with you and your family.
In Bogota, I got the opportunity to care children of different ages, and part of this experience was with my nephew. I was very happy when I had noticed that I was going to be aunt. I looked after my nephew when she was a newborn, I helped my brother and my sister in law in the basic cares, like: bathing, prepare de bottles, dressing up, cleaning the baby, burping, and playing with them. Now she is 11, so I continuous support her with some homework, playing, singing and watching while she is playing in the pool, sometimes when her parents are busy I have to drive and pick up her in the tennis class .
I got another experience with two boys, I looked after them, when her mom had to work or travel usually at the weekends, Santiago was 7 years and David was 3. I helped Santiago with the homework or explaining some English or math’s exercises. and David, we played with clay, paint with crayons, made some handcrafts. With both boys we play in the park in the playground or play football. I had to prepare some meals and snacks and put the boys in bed.
I made some social service in a primary school when I was in my last year in the high School. I had to teach in a second grade of school children, my functions was correcting the homework, teaching some subjects, like math, natural science, religion, Spanish, English. They had a class of handcraft and I had to help them to end their projects decoration with clay, letters for the family, origami etc. I participated to in the physics class and prepared them for a basketball championship in the school
My most recently experience was in a kindergarden, I had to help the teacher with many functions in the kinder like playing, singing, dancing, lunch hour, helping them with their handcrafts like painting, making billboards, coloring. I taught them about some concepts like colors, animals, family, inside – outside, under – above, the shapes (circle, square…) and other many things.
Actually, I think that the experience with children allows to me to get more knowledge about children, and understand a lot about their behavior.
About my life, I studied business administration and work in a digital marketing company but I love work with kids too. In this moment I am living with my parents and my sister. I am the youngest of two siblings. We enjoy a lot our family time and we do many activities together like traveling, having a dinner, cooking, shopping, watching movies etc.
